#freemask is the Mixed Message 2020 Special Recognition for Multimedia Performance award work, which includes portraits, performance art, fashion, and documentary. It discusses the challenges Chinese people face during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak in communication.

 

The project includes a short documentary, performance art, portrait and statement fashion. It showcases how the suppression of speech and freedom of expression caused problems around the same incident and how human beings responded to the problems.
